Yaaaaaay! Vay-Cay-Shun!
Hurray! Here I am in Ottawa. Yesterday was my first day off since January 2nd (so yeah, I empathize with how you were feeling in your last post, Rebekah) and also my first full day in Ottawa sleeping on the floor of my friend's dorm room at Carleton University. Its not all that bad. I've got an air mattress, and his girlfriend brought me a pillow and blanket from her Grandparents' house, so I'm set. Yesterday we hit up Winterlude (w00t! Ice sculptures!) and then went to the bars down in Market. For those who don't know, Maket is the big bar district. I love how much is in French down here. Anyway, I fucking hate typing on laptop keyboards, so I'm going to cut this short. The night kicked ass, and a full post on all that happened down here will be written when I get back. One of my buddy's friends described me as "That dude who looks like Seth from the O.C." I've never seen the O.C. Can someone who has tell me if this is good or not? Anyway, shit planned for today so I'm gone for now. No, SBeth, don't have pics of me on Parliment yet, but have some others you'd be interested in. Later.

Hit up parliment last night, but unfortunately the camera didn't really work so well. I did as
promised, but the picture only shows a whole lot of black. It's a pity, as I was wearing my Mardi Gras beads and everything (long story. Tell you later) which would have made for an awesome photo. Also, there were security guards that needed to be ducked, so all that work for nothing. Man, you'd think grinding a government building would be something they'd look out for, but whatever.

I doubt that anyone will be getting puked on at this point. Thursday we've revised the plans from *that* club to a different one that's having a table dancing contest. So, y'know, REAL girls. Not them "it's their fucking job" types. Also, everywhere we've gone has had live music so far, and I've been having too much fun being up and dancing with people that I've forgotten to drink all that much. Ding's a tory, and all his buddies are as well, so they're not much for dancing. (however, I did convince two of his pretty damned hot SoCon girl buddies to kiss each other last night. "Girls don't kiss girls!" "They do on Mardi Gras." "hmmm... true." Of course, the real kicker came later in the evening. It seems I was the only non-catholic [aside from Ding] in the group. I was jokingly asked "What are you, like, an atheist?" "Yeah." "oh....." *stunned expression, as if they'd never seen a real one before*) As such, I've always had to be the one leading the way until they get enough drinks in them. Apparently Conservatives don't dance. Not until they're good and shit-faced anyway.

As you can see, even with only Tories around, there is a party to be had. Just takes a bit more work. Not much going on tonight, so tomorrow is going to be one last huge night of revelry before hopping my plane back to Calgary. Then I've got a fuck of a lot of homework to catch up on. Oops.
